Congrats on your first MAXIM feature. Tell us a bit about it – where, when, the idea behind it, etc…
I feel honored to be featured! I decided to collaborate with one of my favorite photographers Steven Bagley because I really appreciate his style. He really knows how to capture my best poses. He has an amazing loft with lots of beautiful natural light which I love. As far as concepts, we are both free spirits and vibe off each other. We decide on the wardrobe together, play music according to the mood, simply let go, be free, and shoot!
When do you feel sexy and why?
I feel sexy when I’m wearing my favourite piece of lingerie. Lingerie makes me feel so feminine and beautiful.
What is your best asset? I would say my eyes, smile, and petite frame are all my best assets.
For those who don’t know a lot about you, give us a little more background about yourself and your life story so far. I come from a showbiz family. My mother was a singer/dancer and my father played keyboard. I began singing and performing at the age of 4. I love anything to do with beauty, art, and entertainment. It’s in my blood.
What would people be most surprised to know about you?
People would be surprised to know that I am really sensitive. I rarely show it though.
How would you describe yourself on five words?
Passionate, sarcastic, magnetic, compassionate, and brave.
Describe a typical day in your life.
A typical day for me would be… waking up in the early afternoon (because I’m nocturnal so I sleep-in later than most), checking my emails and messages, jumping into hair and makeup, shooting some content for my social media for a few hours, going to happy hour with some friends, heading home to do some editing, binge watching my fav shows… then falling asleep.
How long have you’ve been modelling and what would you be doing if you weren’t modelling?
I’ve been modeling on and off since I was 18. If I wasn’t modeling I would definitely be singing. I feel that I’m good at multitasking and definitely enjoy doing both.
What’s the biggest misconception about modelling?
That modeling is easy. Most people think we just stand in front of a camera and look pretty. There’s a lot more effort that goes into it in order to be a successful model. You actually have to do your research and study your craft.
What’s the funniest and/or scariest thing that’s ever happened to you on a shoot?
The scariest thing for me was shooting in the dessert surrounded by snake holes. I didn’t realise it until I was already in the location and had already began shooting. At that point, I felt that I’ve come too far to stop so I just tried to focus on getting some amazing shots and hoped for the best. Haha!
If you had to take MAXIM on a date, what would it entail? Where? What would we do?…
We would eat at the best restaurant in town, go to a festival or concert, continue the party at an after-hours spot until the AM, and go eat again at the best breakfast spot in town.
You’ve probably heard some scary and funny pick-up lines over the years – what’s the worst you’ve ever heard?
One that sticks out “It would be dream to have you come live with me and my parents.”
What have you learned about men over the years?
Men are problem solvers. They have to find the answers to everything.
What’s one thing men should always know about women?
That we don’t want you to solve our problems, we just need you to listen. Oh! And we are always right.
What do you look for in a man?
Maturity, compassionate, intelligence, creativity, and humour.
What can we get you at the bar?
Champagne!
Got a hangover cure?
Apple cider vinegar and turmeric does wonders!
What is your motto in life?
Don’t overthink it
What’s next for you? Any exciting projects on the horizon you can share with us?
I am constantly creating new content. I have some collaborations coming up with some awesome photographers, make-up artists, and swimwear brands. You will definitely be seeing more of me in magazines. My goal is to land my first cover.
What do you like to do for fun? What are your hobbies?
I’m a beauty addict! I love doing makeovers and shopping for the newest beauty products. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, eating at exotic restaurants, and I love to dance!
What’s your best hidden talent?
No one really knows that I can beatbox.
Do you have any phobias?
I hate loud creepy noises.
What’s the lamest/funniest rumour you’ve heard about yourself?
When I was in middle school a boy lied and told the entire school that we hooked up. Of course it was a lie but I was really upset by it because I didn’t even know this kid. He would just see me pass the hallway in between periods. Looking back on it, it was kind of creepy, but hilarious.
Who is your girl crush and why?
Amber Rose is definitely my girl crush. She’s beautiful, sexy, strong, and intelligent!
What’s the freakiest/weirdest thing someone has sent you via social media?
That’s easy, a photo of their penis! Some little, some hairy, I’ve seen it all!
Finally, where would you like to be in five years?
Still modeling with my own bikini line and living in my favourite city with the person I love.
