When we wanted a quality pop-up bar at our 2017 MAXIM HOT 100 party in the Gold Coast, we looked no further than the teams at Maxfit Projects and Maxit Wholesale Beverages & Events. Director of both companies MARTIN MAXWELL tells us how he made it happen and how they can do so for your next event…
With over 20 years of experience in commercial store design, shop fitting, project production and project management, Scottish-born Martin Maxwell decided to establish his first of two companies, Maxfit Projects, four years ago.
Building up a substantial client base and team to provide the necessary management services to national retail and commercial clients, Maxfit has proven to be one of Australia’s leading project management services. From established relationships in the industry, Martin was approached about a need for pop-up bar designs and event projects — from there his second company called Maxit Wholesale Liqour and Events was born.
Maxit Wholesale is a family-owned beverage business servicing venues, such as bars, independent bottle shops, national restaurant chains, clubs and hotels across Australia.
“With a strong portfolio we export to the global market, including Asia, PNG and the UK,” Martin explains. “This has given Maxit a very unique market place when it comes to managing events — it allows us to give our clients exceptional products and pricing. With Maxfit Projects we have the ability to deploy our project management team and trades to any type and size of project. We provide complete turnkey packages on small and large commercial projects including venues such as race courses, stadiums and open parks for local councils, – its a one stop shop for our clients.”

THE EASY THREE-STEP PLAN FOR THE MAXIM HOT 100 POP-UP BAR
1. Supplying mobile bars, Signage AND graphics
Maxfit Projects supplied a custom stainless steel mobile beer bar with taps and hardware all pre-fitted ready for the kegs to be installed, including a cocktail bar with five metre illuminated bar top to showcase the amazing cocktails on offer.
2. Supplying the cocktails and beer
Maxit Wholesale Beverages & Events were then engaged to supply all the fresh cocktails and beer for the party. All the fruit were cut freshly on the morning of the event and they supplied some amazing cocktails ranging from an orginal Apple Sin to a fun Pink Puzzy. These were supported with MAXIM’s chosen beer partner Stone & Wood for the kegs.
3. Supplying the staff
Maxit Wholesale Beverages & Events supplied trained staff to support the wonderful team at QT Gold Coast on the night. All wearing branded uniform, the Maxit team made over 1,000 cocktails during the party — a huge undertaking which was seamless from start to finish.
