Meet ARINA FEENEY, the Russian model and jewellery designer ready to take on the world…
Hello, Arina. Tell us a little bit more about yourself.
I’m a girl who yearns for the glitter of the roaring 1920s and dreams of old school romance and a time of Parisienne burlesque. I’m an incorrigible romantic. The most significant points in my career have been just the incredible talent I have worked with around the world.
Speaking of which, you shot this MAXIM feature on location in Dubai. How was it?
Of all the places I’ve shot in, this was the most enchanting and mesmerising. The location was almost hypnotic with the lure of the desert, the sea and that dazzling city. I loved it. And the people were so welcoming and polite.
How did you feel during this shoot?
I felt sexy and beautiful and very at ease, always. The whole experience was such an adventure, exploring a new part of the world and its unique culture. I was strolling down the beach at sunset by the water’s edge when out of nowhere a flock of hundreds of little birds encircled me and whirled around and around. My photographer captured it all and it was amazing.
How do you feel about making your MAXIM Australia debut?
Getting published in MAXIM Australia is fabulous. Let’s face it, Aussie guys have no shortage of beautiful girls to look at all around them, so the opportunity to be featured in Australia’s top lifestyle men’s magazine is a bit mind blowing, actually. I am still pinching myself! I just want to say thanks for giving me this opportunity to be in MAXIM Australia.
Our pleasure. Have you ever been to our fine country?
No, but I’d love to visit Australia — it sounds like such an incredible country. I have some Aussie friends and they are so much fun and a bit crazy, too — in a good way. I’m sure I’ll make a bunch of great new friends when I’m there.
Being our Woman of the world, what’s your favourite city on Earth?
You can’t go past Paris, France.
Who is one person in the world you’d love to meet?
Madonna. What would the future of female sexuality be without Madonna?
True dat. When do you feel sexy?
When I’m on a beautiful tropical vacation.
How do you relax?
With a glass of Bordeaux and a good book.
What is the first thing you notice about a guy?
Him checking me out!
What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever found attractive in a guy?
His own peculiar habits that is so unique to him. Cockiness would an immediate turn-off.
What does a man have to do to win his way to your heart?
A guy has to have good manners and a sense of humor.
Would you ever date someone you met on a social media app?
Yes, I have met someone on a social media app. After months of correspondence we finally met but the texting and DM’ing did not translate into real-life chemistry.
How far would you go on a first date?
Kiss on the cheek.
What would you consider dirty-talk?
When it comes to dirty talk, I have no boundaries.
Finally, where do you see yourself five years?
With the man of my dreams playing with our children on the beach. ■
