Actress, poet, painter, pageant queen, mental health advocate and more. Stunning model RACHEL SLAWSON is using her platform to inspire change…
Terrific photo shoot, Rachel. Got any funny anecdotes you can share?
Yes, during the tennis portion of the shoot, I asked my team if I looked like someone who actually played sports. Without missing a beat, they all immediately said, “Nope, not even a little.” They didn’t even try to pretend like I could hold a racket. I guess I’m more runway than rally!
Well, you look great. When do you feel you are at your sexiest?
When I stay true to what I know I am worth. Being sexy isn’t just about how you look; it’s about the energy you bring into a room. Confidence is currency, and I always invest in myself wisely.

What is your best asset?
My eyes. They tell the story of a woman who transformed her pain into purpose.
Tells us more about yourself.
I’m an Irish-American actress and former Miss Utah USA 2020, where I made history as the first openly bisexual contestant in the Miss USA pageant. In 2023, I was crowned Miss Grand Ireland, continuing my mission to break barriers and redefine beauty standards. I’m also a TEDx speaker, sharing my journey of overcoming mental health struggles. Today, I work as an international speaker, advocating for mental health, suicide prevention and women’s empowerment, with a focus on corporate and nonprofit organisations around the world. From modelling at New York Fashion Week and Miami Swim Week to being the face of a national BMW commercial, my work always serves a larger purpose – empowering others and using my platform to inspire change.

What would people be most surprised to know about you?
As a young woman, I sought external validation through pageantry and modelling, but as I’ve matured my focus has shifted to embracing true self-expression as an artist. In addition to being an actress and comedian, I’m also a poet, painter, and screenwriter. When I’m not speaking on stage, I’m always owning my voice through other mediums, telling stories that are authentic and meaningful, rather than trying to fit into someone else’s idea of success.
How would you describe yourself in five words?
Magnetic, playful, generous, resilient, passionate.

How long have you been modelling?
I’ve been modelling since high school, and it played a pivotal role in helping me build confidence and self-expression. However, as I’ve grown, my focus has shifted. While I still enjoy the creative aspects of modelling, my true focus now lies in producing content across various mediums, whether it’s film, YouTube, social media or live events. Modelling is just one facet of my career now, and I’m excited to continue expanding into new spaces where I can connect with and inspire others.
What have you learned about men over the years?
Men carry so much unseen weight. Society tells men to be strong, to provide, to never break. But real strength is being able to ask for help. That’s why I’ve launched a foundation for mental health, @FeelingsAreHuman, to create spaces where they can be supported without shame. I also speak in corporations to help break down these barriers and open up conversations around mental health in the workplace.
What’s one thing men should always know about women?
Men would be surprised by how much acceptance and respect they would receive from women if they led with honesty and vulnerability. We understand that you often need to wear a mask out in the world, but you don’t need to wear one with us. Being open about your thoughts and feelings shows true strength and creates a deeper connection. We don’t expect perfection; we just want you to be real. When you’re honest, it builds trust and shows us that you value and respect us enough to be your authentic self.

What do you look for in a man?
Emotional depth is so important to me – someone who can communicate openly, face challenges head-on and prioritise growth, both individually and as a couple. I also want someone who knows how to embrace pleasure and laughter, making life enjoyable and light-hearted, while still staying grounded in the bigger picture. Building a legacy is key. I want to create something lasting, whether it’s a family, a purpose or shared dreams that will stand the test of time.
Describe your ideal date.
My ideal date would be painting naked together on a private island, with oysters, caviar and tacos. We’d relax by a fire pit with music and end the night under the stars, completely in sync.
What’s your best hidden talent?
Only my future husband will know the answer to this.
Who is your girl crush?
Megan Fox. I’ve even tried to flirt with her once, but I could barely form sentences and almost got kicked out of Soho House for it.

What is your motto in life?
My family’s motto is “Go forward in faith”. As a woman of faith, it’s a guiding principle in my life, reminding me to trust the journey and keep moving forward with purpose, no matter the obstacles. Faith is my foundation, helping me stay grounded, focused, and aligned with my higher calling.
What’s next for you? Any exciting projects on the horizon you can share with us?
I’m excited to expand my presence on YouTube and launch my podcast. I’m working on a series that blends my passion for art, storytelling and mental health advocacy. On YouTube, I’ll give you a behind-the-scenes look at my creative process, as well as share my love for beauty and comedy. My podcast will dive deeper into mental health, featuring interviews with incredible people who are shifting the conversation and making an impact. This is just the beginning.
