Pershing launches the GTX80, a technologically advanced yacht designed for performance, livability and undeniable Italian style…

Overseen by major players the Ferretti Group, the Italian yacht yard Pershing is finally ready to launch the second model in its GTX range. As with their showpiece GTX116 that debuted last year, the new GTX80 was berthed to deliver the finest in performance and livability.

Thanks to Ferretti, Pershing, and also Vallicelli Design, this 24 metre newbie manages to incorporate the latest advanced marine tech together with Italian craftsmanship, and that Pershing signature style.
With two rear decks and a sport bridge, the GTX80 wide spread layout ensures all guests can’t escape that connection to the sea.The main deck extends below the walkways to ensure water views from the plush sofas, while the galley bar connects the indoor lounge to the outdoor cockpit.

Able to sleep up to eight guests, the premium guest cabins are decked out in sky blue leather panelling, sculptural Italian furniture that didn’t come in a flat pack, and the adjoining bathrooms are fitted with finest metallic lacquered panels.

Doing its best Transformer impression, the stern platform can be raised to extend the cockpit’s social circle, lowered to launch the tenders, or remain in its original form – a waterside lounge. At the other end of the boat, an oversized sun pad blesses the foredeck; at nearly 250 square feet, it’s 60% larger than the industry average. Not forgetting the captain, the raised helm station at the bow offers 360 degree visibility while the huge windshield provides protection from incoming seagulls.

The very Italian GTX80 will be powered by three very Swedish Volvo Penta D13 engines, capable of 735 kW, a top speed of 63 km/h, and a cruising speed of 51 km/h. The company don’t do modest, and don’t deal with the above average – they’re all about elite supremacy. Super standards to live up to for sure – but the Pershing GTX80 comes close.
