Welcome to MAXIM Shannon! Tell us a bit about your shoot.
We did the shoot at Sandy beach in Honolulu, Hawaii. It’s completely relaxed. The idea behind the shoot was to give the fans something sexy to look at. Pleasure for the eyes.
Are there any funny anecdotes you can share about this shoot?
Yes! Unfortunately I had the worst allergies and the wind kept kicking back the dust in my eyes and it looked like I was crying in half my photos. LOL. But we got some great shots in. On top of that half of Hawaii stopped to stare while we did the shoot. So if you can imagine a Hawaii beach packed on a Friday after work at 4:00pm doing these looks for MAXIM New Zealand, it was quite the show! A few hundred people watching. The pictures are so funny to see with all the locals and tourists who stopped to watch! But we will save those for the archives. HAHA.
Have you ever been to New Zealand?
No but it’s on my bucket list! I’ve heard it’s extremely adventurous which arouses my interest in visiting. I love visiting new places.
When do you feel sexy and why?
I feel sexy all the time. It’s just on my aura daily.
What is your best asset? Physically and otherwise.
The details of my face (eyes and lips). Then my heart and my spirit because that’s who I am truly truly. Loving others and helping the less fortunate. That’s where my heart is at most. That’s who I am.
Give us a little more background about yourself and your life story so far.
I was born and raised in Ohio with five wonderful brothers and sisters. All beautiful inside and out. Loving and devoted Christian parents. Nothing but fond memories of us kids growing up, and then for me personally knew at a young age maybe 7 or 8 yrs old that I was different. That I was destined for something bigger. I started modelling at age 12 and slowly worked my way up to NYC Ford Models then I moved to Honolulu where I had grown up partially as well since the age of 15, and signed a new contract with Kathy Muller Model and Talent. From there I have been going back and forth to Honolulu where I am based to California for jobs and castings, and on my down time I paddleboard, play tennis, help out at social services for children and also remain close and intact with my family who I adore! Family is everything to me.
What would people be most surprised to know about you?
That if you look closely into my eyes you can actually feel my soul and know who I am. My eyes speak of who I am and they actually change colour too. Shades of blue to grey and then green sometimes in the middle. My eyes truly are the window to my soul. I am a very deep rooted, connected, intense individual with “two deep feelings.” If you know that saying you understand me.
How would you describe yourself in five words?
Loyal, tenacious, vivacious, vivid and selfless being the most important.
How long have you been modelling and what would do if you weren’t modelling?
Since I was 12. I first got signed with Ford Models in NYC, then worked my way to Honolulu where Kathy Muller Model and Talent signed me. If I wasn’t modelling I would be a foster care mother. I adore children, especially those in need of a good family. So helping kids in need is an automatic for me. It comes very naturally to nurture and help children, or anyone who needs help for that matter.
What’s your best hidden talent?
Operating heavy machinery. Trucks, semis, plough trucks, dump trucks, etc. My father owns a huge truckingand construction company in Cleveland and I learned at a young age how to use all of these. I can even snow plough (LOL) if that’s a talent.
What have you learned about men over the years?
That they all secretly want attention and to be loved just like women do! Even if they don’t admit it. They all have a soft side.
What’s one thing men should always know about women?
They should know to treat a women how they treat their mother.
What do you look for in a man?
Personality and vibes they give off (only good vibes).
Describe your ideal date.
Talking and listening to old music together on the beach in Hawaii at sunset .

Got a hangover cure?
Get a good IV drip the next morning to help the hangover or drink a ton of water before you go to bed the night you drink .
Do you have any phobias?
I’m extremely obsessive compulsive about being clean and not getting other people’s germs on me. Also elevators are not for me. And small spaces you can’t get out of.
Who is your girl crush and why?
Angelina Jolie because she’s the most beautiful woman in the world!
What’s the freakiest/weirdest thing someone has sent you via social media?
A video of someone pouring hot candle wax all over their body saying they won’t stop until I reply. Kind of creepy and insane.
What is your motto in life?
Treat others how you want to be treated.
What’s next for you? Any exciting projects on the horizon you can share with us?
A family of my own and a happy honest marriage. But for now I am enjoying my modelling career and nieces and nephews as practice.
