The Czech-born natural beauty and entrepreneur makes her MAXIM debut.
Hi Misha, welcome to MAXIM Australia! Tell us a bit about your shoot?
The shoot took place at a stunning Mediterranean modern estate called Villa Leche in Palm Desert. The location offered breathtaking views of Palm Springs and Palm Desert, making it the perfect backdrop for the shoot.
Are there any other funny anecdotes you can share about this shoot?
One funny anecdote from this shoot was when we decided to venture out into the rocky terrain for some unique shots. Little did I know, those rocks were quite treacherous! I ended up with cuts and scrapes as battle scars, reminding me that sometimes you have to endure a little pain to capture the perfect shot.
When do you feel sexy and why?
I feel sexy when I dress up for a fancy dinner and drinks. There’s just something about wearing a classy outfit that makes me feel like a million bucks!
What is your best asset? Physically and otherwise.
Physically, my best asset would have to be my legs. I’m 5’10” and mostly legs, so I love showing them off in skirts and skinny jeans. Otherwise, I believe my best asset is my ability to be empathetic and compassionate towards others. Kindness and understanding go a long way.
Give us a little more background about yourself and your life story so far.
I’m originally from the Czech Republic, but my mum and I had to leave when I was a baby. We spent three years as refugees in Austria before making our way to the USA. After a few years in Boston, we eventually settled in California. It hasn’t always been easy, but those challenges have made me stronger.
What would people be most surprised to know about you?
People may be surprised to know that I have always had an entrepreneurial mindset. I started designing when I was 21 and have created several successful companies. Currently, I own a beach lifestyle brand called SKOVA, which specialises in beautiful beach towels, blankets, and picnic rugs with carriers.
How long have you been modelling and what would do if you weren’t modelling?
If I wasn’t modelling, I would still be focused on being creative, designing and building brands. I have a passion for creating and bringing ideas to life.
What have you learned about men over the years?
Over the years, I have learned that men can often hide behind a macho facade, but deep down, they are looking for love and connection. Sometimes, their desires for sex or attention may overshadow their true intentions.
What’s one thing men should always know about women?
One thing men should always know about women is that we’re not as complicated as they might think. Respect and kindness go a long way in building a healthy relationship, whether it’s a friendship or something more.
What do you look for in a man?
I look for integrity, honesty and kindness. Looks, money and status should never be the main reasons to be with someone, in my opinion.
Describe your ideal date.
My ideal date would be meeting in a new city and exploring something new together. I love the excitement of discovering new places and experiences.
What can we get you at the bar?
At the bar, you can get me a tequila or mescal. I’m not a big drinker, but those are my go-to choices.
Got a hangover cure?
If I have a hangover, I like to pamper myself with a spa day. Taking care of myself and practicing self-love helps me recover.
What’s your best hidden talent?
My ability to pick up new languages quickly. I’ve always been fascinated by different cultures and languages.
Do you have any phobias?
I have a fear of heights. Being up high and looking down makes me feel quite uneasy.
Who is your girl crush and why?
Angelina Jolie is definitely one of my girl crushes. I admire her talent, humanitarian work, and her ability to balance her career and family.
What’s the freakiest/weirdest thing someone has sent you via social media?
I’ve received some weird messages on social media, but one that stands out as particularly freaky was a person sending me pictures of their pet tarantula. Definitely not what I expected to see in my DMs!
What is your motto in life?
My motto in life is “Life is a beautiful journey, enjoy every moment, and travel more!” I believe in embracing the beauty of life and constantly seeking new experiences.
What’s next for you? Any exciting projects on the horizon you can share with us?
I am currently working on expanding my business, SKOVA, into the hotel industry. We are creating products specifically designed for hotels, and I’m excited about this new venture.
Finally, where would you like to be in five years?
In five years, I would love to have settled down and be focused on my family and love. Building a strong and loving relationship is one of my main goals for the future.
