Time to get more acquainted with savvy American lawyer, model and fearless adventurer, DANEKA HILL, on a mission to inspire the lives of others…
Welcome, Daneka. Tell us a bit about yourself.
I was born and raised in Minnesota USA and growing up I enjoyed dirt biking, fishing, snowmobiling, attending car shows and restoring classic cars with my father. I have danced since I was three years old, I earned a Doctorate in Law and I am a multi-state licensed lawyer who enjoys practicing law in the financial services and securities industry. I began modelling as a hobby but I’ve since developed a diverse modelling portfolio from having worked with international designers and walked on numerous fashion runways across America and in France. In my free time, I’m a fearless adventurer who loves the outdoors and travelling – I enjoy anything physically active, such as golfing, hiking, rock climbing, scuba diving… you name it.
What do you love most about yourself?
I really love my caring, empathetic and kind heart. In today’s world, caring, empathetic and kind people are rare, so I pride myself in being a loving, positive and supportive space for others. You never know what someone is going through – so be a kind person, always give the world good energy, and remember to smile.
What is one of your weird quirks?
Given my profession as a lawyer, most expect me to be pretentious but I am down-to-earth, eccentric, playful and super quirky! I’m a funny, outgoing and positive person who dances to the beat of my own drum and loves to make others laugh. You can’t get time back – so laugh often, apologise when you should, let go of things you can’t change, love deeply, and forgive quickly!
What’s the first thing you notice when it comes to the opposite gender?
Physically, their smile – a warm smile not only shows friendliness and kindness, but it can really brighten or completely change someone’s day. Otherwise, their character – especially morals, personality, values and confidence. A man is sexy when he knows himself and is comfortable and confident in his own skin.
What is the most attractive quality in a man?
A good heart! A man who is truly a good person at his core – who is compassionate towards others, loyal, trustworthy and who will choose me as his partner every day despite any ups and downs.
What could impresses you on a first date?
I am most impressed by a man who is authentically himself and a true gentleman – such as opening the door or allowing a woman to go before him. During the date, I find it admirable when a man remains humble about his achievements and opinions while being curious and respectful about my interests and life. A balanced attitude is impressive and hard to find.
What piece of advice would you give a man?
Women value a supportive partner who respects them and their decisions, as well as a partner who encourages them to pursue their dreams and goals.
Describe your ideal partner in one sentence.
My ideal partner is someone who will be my best friend until the end.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
I love to turn up the volume on a good song and dance like no-one is watching.
What words do you live by?
Everything in life happens for a reason and nothing that is meant for you will pass you by as long as you are actively seeking opportunities and putting yourself out there. Some of the best things in life come when you least expect them.
What is something new happening in your life right now?
I am excited to advance my career as a lawyer and a leader in the legal profession and to expand my brand as a model for 2023. I have a few projects I’m working on at the moment, which I hope to announce soon. I’m always exploring new opportunities and am really excited to bring many things to life this year. Stay tuned!
Lastly, what is one major thing you want to accomplish by the end of this year?
I want to accomplish being more present in all aspects of life. I desire to continue enjoying every moment and growing to allow myself to reach a greater level of happiness and potential while continuing to encourage, inspire and make a difference in the lives of others.
