Meet Sophie Collins, the model and businesswoman from outback Australia!
Outstanding shoot Sophie, welcome to MAXIM New Zealand. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I grew up in outback Australia with a hunger for more opportunities which led me to move to Sydney, which is where I established my successful business in floral design as well as modelling. I look after myself, eat healthily, meditate daily and exercise regularly to maintain my overall health and well-being. I’m a big advocate for mental health.
Have you ever been to New Zealand? If so, tell us your experience.
Never had the opportunity… but it’s on the list!
What do you love most about yourself?
I respect and love diversity of any kind, which makes me accepting and open-minded.
What is the first things you do when you get up in the morning?
The first thing I do is make a coffee, go back to bed and give my two cavoodles snuggles! Then I’ll start with a cold shower, workout and a healthy breakfast.
What is one of your weird quirks?
My sense of humour. I tend to laugh at my own jokes before I even say them.
What’s the first thing you notice when it comes to the opposite gender? Physically and otherwise
A nice smile 🙂
What do you think is the most attractive quality in a man?
Vulnerability. When a man has containment of his emotions but will be vulnerable when necessary is so sexy and creates safety for the woman you’re with.
What impresses you on a first date?
When a man takes the lead, organises everything and portrays a true gentleman.
What advice would you give a man?
Educate yourself (if you’re not familiar already) on the dynamics of masculine energy so you can have clarity on your wounds and strengths.
Describe your ideal boyfriend/girlfriend in one sentence.
Authenticity is so raw and so attractive.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
I am obsessed with my sauna! I use it every day if I can..
What words do you live by?
Love. It’s your guiding light. You can break through barriers to be of loving service to the world. Having the confidence and courage to stand up for what you believe in is not always easy, but it’s always within your reach.
What is something new happening in your life right now?
In 2023 I’m striving for a healthier, wealthier and even better year! I think the newest thing in my life right now is I’ve started my journey of sobriety.
Lastly, what is one major thing you want to accomplish this year?
There are a few more counties I’m ticking off my list and I’m studying yoga teaching and mediation practices. I’ll be a certified teacher by the end of year!
