The Aussie actress, dancer and comedian, with Greek-Maltese heritage (aka Jacinda Patty), discusses her final day on Earth…
Hey, Cindy, tell us a bit about yourself and what audiences can expect from your stage shows this month?
I’m a multi-talented artist, who has travelled the globe, and I use storytelling and comedy to share the tales of a solo female traveller. My show is a one-woman, funny, roller-skating-dancing-storytelling-bundle-of- dating reality. I’m in a crisis – rolling dolmades with one hand while desperately swiping right with the other.
Have you ever felt like you’ve died onstage during a show?
No, but I once played a dinosaur, so…
How do you want to leave this world?
Roller skating really, really, really, really fast.
Are you going to Heaven or Hell and why?
If there is a Heaven or Hell? If so, definitely hell! Sorry, I’ve lost count as to why.
What do you say to the Devil when you get there?
What’s for dinner? Can we have meatballs?
What quality advice, you’ve been given in the past, will you take to the grave with you?
“Nothing is perfect – you never have a perfect anything” from my yiayia (Greek granny) followed by “It’s good to feel good”. She’s a very confusing old lady.
What’s the dumbest thing you ever did on Earth?
Oh! This page is not big enough for that list! Up top would have to be the Brazilian drug dealer. I mean, I’m ok. It’s all ok.
What are your friends saying over your casket?
They can’t say anything. Their mouths are too full with dolmades. My family would never dance on my grave. They’d eat on it. “Hey, can you pass the tzatziki?”
What or who would you like to be reincarnated as?
Pierce Brosnan. He would never have to use Tinder.
What’s written on your tombstone?
“She came. She soared. She loved you all.”
Got any last words?
“You’ll be ok.” ■
