DANIELLE VASINOVA does it all – model, actress, podcaster, business investor, equestrian and entrepreneur, but she’s really just a country girl at heart…
Damn fine photo shoot, Danielle. Tell us the idea behind it.
Thanks! The shoot was at the Artisan Hotel Boutique in Las Vegas. It’s rumoured to be haunted and I wanted to try and capture that ethereal energy in an alluring way.
You look beautiful. When do you feel sexy?
I feel sexiest in jeans and a T-shirt because I’m just a farm girl, at heart, so I feel sexy when I’m comfortable and confident.
What is your best asset?
I’ve been told that my eyes are compelling. I also bring my full energy to all projects and do my best to lift everyone’s spirits.
Tell us a bit more about yourself.
I was inspired to follow in the footsteps of my grandmother, who was an actress and singer in Prague. My modelling career began at the age of 13 when a talent scout approached me at a local mall while I was performing in a cheerleading competition for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). I was quickly signed to an agency in New York where I modelled for the next five years before beginning my acting career. I starred in the action-thriller Red Dead, from the makers of the popular sci-fi television series Z Nation and I’ve guest starred on many a television series including Dexter and MacGyver. I’m also Belle from the video game Belle’s War, based on the popular comic book 13 Chambers from Image Comics. In addition to acting and modelling I do voiceover work. Following my flat-lining due to COVID, I’m living life to the fullest and following my entrepreneurial spirit. This includes investing in businesses like Sugar Taco, a vegan Mexican restaurant, The Plant Butcher, a vegan “meat” shop and Azucar Tequila, an innovative line of canned tequila drinks.
Wow, your COVID ordeal sounds scary, but you’ve clearly bounced back with so much going on! What else would people surprised to know about you?
Prior to starting my modelling career I was training to become a professional jockey.
Seriously, is there anything you can’t do? You sound like a perfect catch! What do you look for in a man?
I look for self-confidence that’s wildly disproportionate to actual intellect, accomplishments and appearance – LOL. Seriously, a good man will be humble but secure, and know how to make love with their mind as much as their body.
Describe your ideal date.
Hmm… jetting to Paris for dinner followed by a romantic moonlight stroll. OK, really, I’m just a country girl at heart and would actually prefer a picnic in a flowery meadow after a horseback ride.
Nice one. What have you learnt about men over the years?
Men want the same thing as women – to matter, be respected and be desired. Of course, they’ll deny this and the challenge is ignoring what they say and focusing on what they really need. If men focus on respecting women, everything else will follow.
What’s next for you?
I’m excited to be co-hosting Heroes Journey Podcast with Bryan Hopkins. We’ll be talking with actors, musicians and other remarkable people about their path to success to inspire and be inspired. I’m also working with co-author Mark Schmitz on a children’s book series called The Adventures of Boppy Bear, based on my grandmother’s story, and I’m in a movie coming out in 2023 called Savage Midlife in which I play the character Officer Bardi.
Impressive stuff! Where would you like to be in five years?
I want to have a growing legacy of acting roles, producing films and inspiring others to achieve their own dreams.
