Magnificent photo shoot, Amber. Give us a brief background about yourself.
I was born in China but grew up in Los Angeles, California before moving to New York. After COVID I moved to Miami – this photo shoot was done in South Beach, which is just so cool! I was discovered in the mall when I was still in high school, but I didn’t officially start my modelling career until after graduation. Now I am a full-time model travelling for work between Miami and New York.
You look stunning. When do you feel sexy?
I think confidence is sexy. Confidence makes you not afraid of other things and belief in yourself is the best charisma.
What is your best asset?
A happy and healthy body.
What would people be most surprised to know about you?
A lot of people ask me where I am originally from. As I mentioned earlier, I’m from China, and an interesting fact is that I actually won the women’s basketball championship in my province level in China and then entered the NCAA women’s basketball in the United States. I just love sports.
That explains those long legs, then! What have you learnt about men over the years?
The way they think sometimes is different to women. Men tend to try and provide a solution instead of just listening when there’s a problem. Just like the book Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus describes.
What’s one thing men should always know about women?
A woman’s body is her own choice.
What do you look for in a man?
I like a man with super-smart style, who leads a healthy lifestyle and has a great sense of humour.
Describe your ideal date.
Get dressed nicely, go to the art gallery in the afternoon and then have some Italian food for dinner.
Nice. What can we get you to drink?
A passion fruit Margarita!
Who is your girl crush?
Kristen Stewart. I just think she is pretty cool!
What’s next for you? Do you have any exciting projects on the horizon you can share with us?
Yes! I have movie that I was in coming out next year – it’s called Models Wanted and I can’t wait to see it in the movie theatre! I want to do more movies in the future because they are always fun. And, of course, I also want to do more fashion all over the world, maybe Paris and Milan soon. ■
