The model, designer and author returns to her roots for her maxim NZ cover debut…
Tell us a bit about your shoot, LInda.
It was shot in Dunedin, New Zealand in an old mansion. We found a secret door that lead to a secret room. This was a very magical location. I’ve always been very drawn to New Zealand because of my heritage.
Well, you look gorgeous. When do you feel sexy?
I feel my sexiest first thing in the morning, without make-up, bed hair and all.
What is your best asset?
Physically, I think it’s my legs. However, I also think my best asset is my compassion and my non-judgmental attitude.
For those who don’t know much about you, Give us a little more background about yourself and your life story so far.
I grew up obsessed with the fashion industry and since I was young I have always wanted to do something in fashion. I started designing clothes at eight years old and became a model at 16. Now I’m living in Los Angeles and going to school at UCLA, hoping to get a job as a booker at an agency or maybe own or franchise one.
What would people be most surprised to know about you?
That I have two kids. Yes this amazing body pushed out two beautiful children! I’m so proud of the mother I am.
Describe yourself in five words?
Resilient, driven, understanding, creative and intelligent.
What would do if you weren’t modelling?
I would probably be a modelling agent or a flight attendant. Or maybe an investor.
What have you learnt about men over the years?
Men can be soft and show their feelings while still being strong. Maybe even stronger than the ones who try to play tough or hide that side of them.
What’s one thing men should always know about women?
That we know a lot more than what we let on. If we ask you a question we most likely already know the answer.
What do you look for in a man?
Drive! They have to be driven, goal-oriented and positive.
Where would your ideal date be?
The drive-in movie theatre.
What can we get you at the bar?
Nothing. I’m clean and sober!
What’s your best hidden talent?
My boobs always know when it’s raining. LOL. I’m just kidding! My hidden talent is that I’m a chef. I’m an amazing cook. You always win a man’s heart through his stomach.
Do you have any phobias?
Yes! I have a fear of heights.
Who is your girl crush?
Paula Patton and Naomi Campbell. They are both gorgeous, extremely driven and intelligent.
What’s the weirdest thing someone has sent you via social media?
A picture of their privates — and it happens often. It’s a quick way for me to block you, so I don’t recommend it.
What is your motto in life?
Feed your faith and your doubt will starve.
What’s next for you? Any exciting projects on the horizon you can share with us?
My book, Kinky Kitchen!
Finally, where would you like to be in five years?
I don’t know! I guess you have to keep watching the movie. ■
