Meet local Perth beauty, law student and qualified teacher in mental and physical wellness, CAT GEORGATOS…
Wonderful/Cool shoot, Cat. Tell us a bit about it.
I had been looking forward to this shoot for a very long time as I had never worked with Terry before and was a huge fan of his work. It was shot at a riverfront home in Perth and we wanted the shots to be quite natural and warm as it was the middle of summer. It was a fantastic day, each shot led into one of us having another sudden idea and it is now one of my favourite photo shoots I’ve ever done.
You look great. When do you feel sexy?
I feel my sexiest when I am dressed up in a nice evening gown, with a red lip, heels and with delicate lacy underwear underneath. But primarily, I always feel most confident and sexy when I am happy and working on my fitness.
Give us a little background about yourself and your life story so far.
I am a 22-year-old Greek/Australian law student from Perth. I work in the prison system to help those struggling with mental health, housing and other basic needs. I am passionate about politics, equality and social justice — which has led to me writing articles for The West Australian and Sydney Criminal Lawyers. I spend my free time with my loved ones, playing guitar and practising yoga of which and I am now a qualified teacher who is very eager to share my passion for mental and physical wellness.
What is your best asset?
Physically, I do like my eyes but overall my best asset is my desire to help others.
What would people be most surprised to learn about you?
People seem to be quite surprised to find out I study Law and have always worked in rehabilitation and prisons.
Describe your ideal date.
I like to keep it casual most of the time, so a sunny day at the beach with a good man sounds like heaven.
Who is your ideal man?
Physically, I love a tall, brunette, blue-eyed man with tattoos. When it comes to who they are — intelligence is the biggest attraction for me, as is a good sense of humour and someone who likes adrenaline and adventure.
What have you learnt about men?
Men are complicated, multifaceted creatures who can be difficult to communicate with at times. But they are beautiful and want the same things we all do — to love and to be loved.
Who is your girl crush?
Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman. Whilst obviously beautiful, they’ve used their platforms to give back to the world either philanthropically or intellectually. Nothing beats beaty and brains.
What’s one thing men should always know about women?
Flowers and gifts are lovely, but all we really want is to be heard, supported and to feel secure in knowing that we are enough.
What is your life motto?
“If you’re going through hell, keep going” — Winston Churchill. Life is extremely hard at times, but true meaning and beauty comes from how we go through these hurdles — it never comes from our comfort zone.
What’s next for you?
Currently I am in full focus mode while working on my degree, but I’m very excited to be travelling to Europe soon to work with international photographers. This is something I have always wanted to do, and I look forward to greatly.
Finally, where would you like to be in five years?
I would like to have finished my law degree and also have built a yoga studio for me to teach from in Greece — as my family and heritage is Greek. But, most importantly, I just hope to be happy. ■
