Hello, Anya, tell us a bit about your MAXIM photo shoot?
We did this shoot in California in August because I enjoy the atmosphere and the history of the culture. I also believed in my team’s vision.
When do you feel sexy?
After a long hot shower, in a soft robe, with fresh lotion all over my body.
What is your best asset?
My soft skin and my calm nature.
Give us a little more background about yourself and your life story so far.
I come from a traditional Spanish culture and humble beginnings. We had a small one bedroom apartment, hand-me-down clothes and food was not abundant. We knew we didn’t have much but we had a bond and love for one another that was unlimited.
What would people be most surprised to know about you?
I am an introvert and live a very quiet life. My favourite things to do are embroidery, gardening and being with my little pup.
How long have you been modelling and what would do if you weren’t modelling?
I have been modelling for less than a year. If I wasn’t, I would have more time to volunteer. I want to be able to feed a million children in the Caribbean, provide clean water and higher education.
Have you ever been to New Zealand?
In movies, and in dreams, yes.
Where would you like to visit?
I’d leave it up to my tour guide. When in Rome…
What have you learnt about men over the years?
Men can’t be summed up in a generalisation – they are often more complex than they think they are. The best way to show a man that you value him is to show him respect.
What do you look for in a man?
Strength and masculinity. Aside from that, I love a man who will geek-out on Reddit with me.
What’s one thing men should always know about women?
We want to be cared about more than we want to be seen as sexy.
Describe your ideal date.
A private-chef-prepared vegan buffet on a yacht in calm waters.
What can we get you at the bar?
Vintage Red wine on occasion, but I prefer a hot tea.
Got a hangover cure?
Tea is my drink of choice, so hangovers aren’t my expertise. However, I learnt on Reddit that you can make natural Gatorade from Himalayan salt and a bit of lemon juice squeezed into water. If it tastes sweet, you’re dehydrated. Keep drinking until it starts to taste salty.
What’s your best hidden talent?
I can see the bright side even in the most unsavoury circumstances.
Do you have any phobias?
Crowded, loud, highly social events and environments.
Who is your girl crush?
Jennifer Lopez! Have you not seen her? What doesn’t this woman do?!
What’s the weirdest thing someone has sent you via social media?
I don’t attract weirdos on my social media. My followers tend to be respectful.
What’s next for you?
Conquer the world! I want to become very successful and do what I need to do to make this a better planet for the next generation. I plan to get involved with more organisations with this calibre. ■
