Meet the stunning Polish model, with a masters in psychology, who likes to inspire others for the better. What’s not to love…
Your name is unique, Weronika. What’s its heritage?
My name is a typical Catholic name from Poland. I heard it means sensitive, creative and wild – which totally describes me. People sometimes call me Vero, but in the U.S., where I currently live, people have an open attitude and usually call me baby, honey or stranger. The last one suits me the most.
Tell us a bit more about yourself then, Stranger.
I have a master degree in psychology, I’m passionate about people, their life stories and secrets of our existence. When I have an opportunity I get involved in charity projects – I believe it’s worth it to be good and my life motto is: “Be the light that helps others see”. I started to travel as a model when I was 17 and I worked mostly in Asia. After, I decided to settle for a while and be focussed on building my educational background, but it’s not in my nature – I love adventure and a challenge. So, I decided to move to N.Y.C. when I was 24 and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. I feel I’ve always been a brave person who follows her dreams and I never give up on what I truly desire.
Nice. How did you get into modelling?
Actually life decided for me. I got noticed by a model manager when I was 16 in a shopping mall in Warsaw. I felt like it was a big chance so I asked my parents for a credit of trust. Two months later I went for my first contract in Tokyo.
What’s your sexiest asset?
My mix of strength and femininity. I have a lot of shades and complexity makes me intriguing. Physically, I like my eyes, legs and breasts.
If you weren’t modelling what would you be doing?
I would be a therapist and a journalist.
What do you do when you’re not posing for MAXIM?
I have a workout routine, write psychology articles, develop my business ideas, travel and make love. I like to experience life fully. Personal and spiritual growth are my priority. I’m social, so I like sharing positivity and inspire others for the better.
Being our Woman of the World this month, where in the world would you like to take a vacation?
I would choose Hawaii because it has been always my dream. I’m a sea person who likes to experience spectacular beaches and romantic sunsets.
We have those here in Australia. Have you ever been Down Under?
Australia is on my bucket list. I would love to go because I heard it’s a wonderful place where the happiest people live. I’m also excited about wild places and dangerous nature.
What else do you know about Australia?
“Shrimp on a barbie” – it’s actually funny because it reminds me of the movie Dumb and Dumber. I also know about the Great Barrier Reef, Nicole Kidman, kangaroos, giant insects and aboriginal people.
If you had to take MAXIM on a date, where would we go?
Somewhere with an ocean view, gourmet food and a generally romantic atmosphere.
What do you find sexy in a man?
Confidence, ambition, strength and sensitivity.
What’s the best way for a guy to get your attention?
Being respectful, intelligent and having a sense of humour. It’s important for me to have a man who makes me laugh.
Would you kiss a guy on the first date?
I would but it really depends on the connection and chemistry.
What’s one thing you’d change about the world?
I would wish people be more focussed on giving and making a difference rather than spoiling their ego and producing negativity.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever given you?
To love yourself and never waste time, since it’s the most precious value.
What’s next for you?
I want to develop my career as a motivational speaker and a journalist. ■
