Beast Unleashed

Rezvani’s latest creation, the Beast MK2, is a hypercar-killing Corvette C8 on steroids, offering insane power, outrageous looks, and optional James Bond-style gadgetry for those who want to live their best life in the fast lane…

Coming off their 10th anniversary, off the wall California car crazies Rezvani have introduced yet another look-at-me creation called the Beast MK2. Known for creating over the top bulletproof SUVs like the Vengeance and the Tank, the MK2 is based on their first supercar also named Beast, which was based on the Aerial Atom open wheeler.

Essentially a re-skinned Corvette C8 with hypercar numbers, power comes from a 6.2 litre V8 similar to a Corvette Stingray, though this thing goes beast mode, adding a pair of turbochargers that bring 735 kW and 878 pound-feet of torque – more than twice that of the C8.

Thanks to an ultra lightweight carbon fibre body (1350 kg) similar to the latest gen U.S. fighter jets, the Beast can hit 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and hunt down the quarter mile in just 9.6 seconds.
The exterior is typical beast, blending the Lotus Elise and the C8 Corvette, while the hood and butterfly doors are all F4 Phantom jet. The aggressive old school approach continues with the stacked quad exhaust tips out back, featuring a much needed big diffuser down low.

There’s more Vette flavour on the inside, athough the section of buttons dividing the driver and passenger seats are gone, and the steering wheel is more yolk – than wheel.

Being Rezvani, you expect heavy body armour, but it’ll cost you an extra $55,000. For that you get unspecified amounts of armour, bullet-proof glass – and peace of mind during the apocalypse.
For wanna-be spies, there is a $45,000 optional ‘007’ package that includes gas masks, thermal night vision, electrified door handles, sirens, and a first-aid kit. For real spies, an optional explosive device detection system also exists.

Coming in at roughly five times the cost of a base Corvette C8 ($485,000 U.S.), it’s the closest thing to a real life James Bond car without the rocket launcher – although that’s also coming. ■
